Contracts Counsel DUTIES: Develop a deep understanding of the Company's business and products and the applicable industry developments and requirements. Provide day-to-day support to the Global Contracts Team and the Legal Department on a variety of legal matters in support of the commercial and supply chain functions, as well as our contracts systems and department. Respond to inquiries in the Contracts inbox and organize, review, and route requests in a timely manner in compliance with applicable policies. Engage with Legal Operations to implement and maintain our Contract Lifecycle Management System. Draft, negotiate, analyze, and advise internal stakeholders on commercial contracts and related legal issues. Draft and maintain form documents and templates, confidential correspondence, reports, and other complex documents. Conduct legal and/or business research and present findings in a timely and clearly written manner. Identify issues requiring escalation to senior lawyers and/or senior management for review and visibility. Assist with investigations. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with a broad range of cross-functional stakeholders. Develop and maintain record-keeping systems, trackers, policies, and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS: 2+ years of experience practicing law or supporting lawyers with experience specifically in legal research and analysis, as well as drafting, redlining, negotiating, and maintaining legal documents and agreements; preference will be given to those with experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements. Exceptional communication, analytical, and writing skills Comfortable presenting to external and internal audiences both in-person and virtually. Extremely responsive to internal stakeholder inquiries and able to identify priority items. General understanding of the administrative, regulatory, and legal framework applicable to industry. Ability to be proactive and to successfully drive and complete assignments with minimal supervision, but also knowing when to seek advice. Strong work ethic and proven ability to produce high-quality work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure work environment. Excellent time management skills, ability to support multiple legal professionals and effectively prioritize, manage and implement multiple competing projects simultaneously. Understand that Legal is a customer-service department: Communicate clearly with kindness, patience, positivity, and the utmost professionalism, always seeking to put the customer first. Excellent interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated record of cross-functional collaboration, being a team player and forming strong working relationships with clients. Strong verbal, written and communication skills.
