Associate Legal Counsel - Corporate Trust The candidate will review and comment on structured finance documents, escrow agreements, and other transaction documentation. Advise administrators on post-closing extraordinary administrative duties of a legal nature. Maintain expertise and advise Compliance Officer and Corporate Trust Relationship Managers regarding risk & compliance matters. Advise the Corporate Trust department on various legal issues. Maintain current legal and compliance issues that may impact the Corporate Trust Department. Strategize with management on new opportunities, products, and the overall vision of CT. Create and maintain referral relationships with transaction counsel. In conjunction with Sales and Management, visit clients and attend industry conferences. Work closely with Relationship Managers and Management on ensuring smooth transaction closings. Stay active in the life of the trust transactions, assisting with changes made to the transactions. Handle other duties as assigned. Must have Juris Doctorate or equivalent. Demonstrates ability to read, analyze and interpret complex documents. Has the ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Demonstrates good work habits, and attendance and follows policies and procedures. Effective communication skills and computer skills are needed.
