Corporate Attorney - Data Privacy And Security

Corporate Attorney - Data Privacy and Security The candidate will provide support on privacy and data protection issues for teams engaged in the drafting and negotiation of contracts with customers and vendors. Assist with opportunities for maturation, improvement, and streamlined compliance with applicable privacy and data protection laws, regulations, and standards. Advise teams responsible for the development, sales, and marketing of offerings and services on privacy compliance matters, including supporting sales and deal desk teams in responding to customer requests for information. Develop a solid network of relationships inside and outside of the organization to support the objectives of the Legal team and the business. Should have a J.D. degree and be licensed to practice law in at least one jurisdiction. Should have 2+ years of data privacy and security compliance experience in a law firm or in-house, with preference given to candidates who have global privacy and data protection experience in the technology industry, especially with Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) offerings. Pragmatic, commercially-oriented lawyer with experience interpreting privacy and security laws and regulatory requirements and implementing programs and solutions to meet such requirements. Excellent drafting skills and an understanding of privacy risk assessment and management. Solid organizational and project management skills. Excellent interpersonal skills; comfortable dealing with all levels of our organization and able to inspire and persuade others in a growing, global business. Skilled at managing competing priorities effectively. Proactive approach to recognizing needs and anticipating issues. International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) certifications like Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM), Certified Information Privacy. Professional/United States (CIPP/US), or Certified Information Privacy. Professional/Europe (CIPP/E) are a plus.
