Corporate Counsel Duties: The candidate will advise management concerning business transactions. Review, draft and negotiate a wide variety of contracts, including complex construction agreements. Develop and refine processes, procedures, and standard contract forms including vendor contracts, technology agreements, and partnership agreements. Draft and review responses to Requests for Qualifications and Proposals. Represent the company in meetings with outside parties, including participating in the resolution of highly complex or sensitive legal issues. Oversee and perform certain discovery efforts. Provide training for company personnel. Stay current on legal trends and best practices as it relates to construction law and corporate law. Collaborate with outside counsel. Perform advanced legal research. Complete other responsibilities, as assigned.
Qualifications: A Law degree from an accredited law school, and member in good standing of any of the following states: California, Colorado, Georgia, New York, Oregon, Texas, or Washington. Should have 4+ years of experience with a law firm or 5+ years of combined experience with a law firm and in-house. Knowledge of construction law, construction process, methodology and documents. Possess unquestionable ethics and integrity. Superior analytical skills, problem-solving, and negotiation skills./ Proven leadership and management ability. Ability to travel on a regular basis. Strong team player and interpersonal skills, and ability to work collaboratively with diverse individuals at all levels of an organization. Strong sense of accountability, integrity and taking ownership over projects and responsibilities, and resolving issues proactively. Superior analytical skills, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. Reliability, dependability and flexibility. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work under tight deadlines and to manage multiple demands, priorities, and projects simultaneously.
