Employment Counsel Responsibilities: Provide counseling and support to HR Business Partners, Employee Relations Business Partners, and the business on employee terminations, performance management, investigations, accommodations, reorganizations, and other employment-related matters. Coordinate and manage employment-related projects, including internal process reviews, new policy roll-outs and implementation, regular policy updates and training programs. Draft and edit employment-related documents, correspondence, agreements and processes. Manage legal risks and provide solutions for resolving employment disputes. Manage outside counsel, when necessary. Communicate and collaborate effectively across teams and various roles to educate colleagues about business and legal risks while enabling success.
Qualifications: J.D degree. CA Bar membership is preferred. Should have 4-6 years of legal experience, preferably in a law firm. Labor & Employment experience. Strong problem-solving, strategic thinking, and written/verbal communication skills. Good judgment and ability to balance risk and productivity in a business environment. Independently motivated, while collaborative in execution. Ability and openness to receive constructive feedback and act on the same.
