Senior Counsel- Litigation Duties: Under the direction from the Deputy General Manager-Legal Affairs, supervises and manages the activities of the Legal Department. Prepares legal opinions for senior management and the Board of Trustees. Provides oversight and legal counsel on the administration of RTA's Self-Insured Workers Compensation program. Coordinates with other sections of the Legal Affairs Division as needed. Monitor federal, state, and local legislation affecting RTA. This position will promote a safe and secure atmosphere, follow all safety and security rules and perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements: Must have a JD degree and a license to practice law in the State of Ohio. Must have 8 years of experience analyzing, investigating, and litigating significant and sensitive civil cases, including trials and appeals. Applicants must have 5+ years of experience supervising professional employees and others, preferably legal staff.
