Corporate Patent Counsel The candidate will manage outside counsel in the preparation and prosecution of U.S. and foreign patent applications. Engage in patent harvesting efforts. Engage in the prosecution of strategic patent applications. Counsel business units on all aspects of IP. Should have a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science. A J.D. degree with strong academic credentials from an accredited law school. Should have 5+ years of IP experience at a major law firm, boutique IP firm or corporation, including drafting and prosecution of at least 30 original U.S. patent applications. Solid understanding of patent laws. Demonstrated project management capability. Admission to practice as a patent attorney before the USPTO. Admission to the Colorado Bar, or the ability to become admitted promptly under Rule 222 of the Colorado Rules of Civil Procedure (Single-Client Counsel).
