Associate Counsel, Corporate The candidate will research, guide and execute on all aspects of international market expansion and emerging market growth. In coordination with local legal and regulatory consultants, provide strategic guidance to cross-functional teams, while advising on emerging trends and regulations in the new market, enabling a proactive approach and planning for future international market needs. Maintain up-to-date knowledge on regulatory changes and the direct selling landscape. Work as a member of the Gratitude team (Monat s charitable arm) in support of the team and the nonprofit organization activities to support overall fundraising, special events logistics, communications, marketing, and other organizational objectives as needed. Review, prepare and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts. Support and lead (as needed) all aspects of Monat s insurance program and policies. Review marketing assets and product labels to ensure product claims are proper and compliant. The candidate should have a law degree from a top-ranked law school, admission to the bar of at least one state, and willingness to be admitted as authorized in-house counsel in Florida. Should have 3-4 years of legal experience working in an in-house setting or law firm setting. Large law firm experience preferred. Experience in beauty, cosmetics or direct selling preferred. Experience with international expansion work is strongly preferred. Some familiarity with the nonprofit sector is preferred. Well-organized, detail-oriented, ability to multi-task with great follow-up skills. Self-motivated and able to work well under pressure. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
