Corp Counsel Real Estate legal The candidate will be responsible for supporting Firms' worldwide data center expansion through land acquisitions and leasing. Will have transactional drafting and negotiating responsibilities on deals, and will provide legal counsel and contract interpretation to business team members on a daily basis. Transactions range from standard contracts to complex, bespoke, high-value agreements. Structure, draft and negotiate agreements, help support AWS real estate s existing portfolio, manage outside counsel, and advise internal business clients. In addition, help develop, implement, and manage process improvements across the team, resolve legal issues that arise in existing commercial relationships, and handling pre-litigation legal disputes and inquiries.
The candidate should have a J.D. degree (or equivalent) and membership in good standing in at least one State Bar. Must have 6+ years of legal experience as a transactional real estate attorney (with 3+ full years at a law firm). Experience drafting and negotiating a variety of real estate transactional documents (i.e. leases, lease amendments, purchase and sale agreements, easements, etc.) is required.
