Privacy Counsel

Privacy Counsel Responsibilities: Act as subject matter expert and resource on issues related to privacy, security, and data protection. Partner with members of the legal team, security team, and data privacy & governance to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, customer and vendor contracts. Draft and negotiate data protection terms in contracts and disclosures, including Data Protection Addendum, Privacy Statements, and Terms of Service. Review issues related to customer security questionnaires and security certifications. Conduct due diligence and review privacy and data protection issues related to acquisition and integration activity. Review data protection impact assessments and other internal privacy assessments. Provide guidance to legal and product management teams on issues pertaining to new and existing products/features throughout the entire development lifecycle. Respond to communications from customers and employees regarding their individual rights, and processing of their personal data. Assist in developing and maintaining Autodesk's privacy program and related policies, procedures, documentation, and communication materials. Collaborate with data governance and business teams to create records of processing. Assist in developing training materials and providing training to employees on privacy and security-related obligations.

Qualifications: Law degree and CIPP certification. Should have 5+ years of relevant work experience in the area of technology transactions, data privacy, security, and data governance. Experience implementing global privacy and data protection requirements, including data mapping, privacy impact assessments, and Privacy by Design. Experience representing technology companies, cloud, marketing, or data analytics services. Expertise and in-depth knowledge of the global privacy and data protection laws. Strong work ethic, a self-starter, action-oriented, and ensures accountability. The ability to work independently with little supervision, applying good judgment in identifying issues that need to be escalated.
