Corporate Counsel

Corporate Counsel Responsibilities: Reviewing, drafting, and editing a variety of commercial contracts. Provide practical and timely legal advice and support across the business units on a broad range of legal and regulatory matters. Managing due diligence tasks on merger and acquisition projects. Preparation of training materials on legal and compliance topics. Review and updating of legal documents, templates, and contracts. Manage external counsel, building and developing relations with external law firms around the World.

Qualifications: Juris Doctor from an accredited law school, preferred. Licensed to practice law in one state with the ability to become Authorized House Counsel in the state of Florida upon hire; must be in good standing. Prior M&A experience, is preferred. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written with the ability to communicate effectively to a wide variety of business stakeholders. Strong quantitative and analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling, valuation and business case building. Strong work ethic, with an effective combination of business acumen, sound decision-making, and a bias for action; ability to act in a decisive, urgent, and committed way to achieve results; remain focused on deliverables and leverage resources to reach goals. Microsoft office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook). Ability to multitask effectively and balance competing priorities. Ability to travel domestically and internationally when required. Strong interest in working in a corporate setting of a global, public company. Willingness to learn other areas of law such as litigation management, labor & employment, intellectual property, and ethics and compliance topics.
