Corporate Counsel - Global Resort Operations and Owner Services The candidate will be providing clients with legal assistance and advice regarding contracts, resort and owner services issues, and association governance. Providing general legal advice and counsel regarding compliance with various laws and regulations. Providing support related to association governance, owner services and operational finance and accounting business partners. Drafting documentation relating to management and operation of MVW's resorts and exchange companies including, but not limited to, management agreements, integration agreements, leases, easements, vendor contracts, service agreements and affiliation agreements. Collaborating with Global Resort Operations and Owner Services team members to identify opportunities for and offering training for business partners. Supporting all aspects of company policies and practices. Collaborating with outside counsel, vendors, and consultants to support resort operations and owner services matters. Performing other duties as appropriate. Be responsible for own work and contributing to team, department and/or business results. Setting priorities and measurable objectives. Monitoring and reporting on process, progress, and results. Directing work of non-management staff when appropriate. Influencing work of cross-functional, multi-disciplinary or extended teams. Assisting other associates in achieving business results by acting in a consultative fashion to implement programs impacting the broader organization, assisting in the development and communication of broader organizational goals, achieving results against budget within the scope of responsibility, and taking calculated risks to move the department or team forward, developing and using systems to organize and keep track of information, balancing the interests of own group with the interests of the organization, working with others to identify and remove barriers to success. Readily critique own behavior to acknowledge mistakes and improve future leadership performance. Acting independently to improve and increase skills and knowledge.

The candidate should have an excellent academic record with a law degree from a top law school; admission to the bar of any state. Should have 7 years of relevant experience in a well-regarded law firm or comparable corporate environment. A broad base of legal knowledge. Strong negotiation and drafting skills. Real estate and corporate experience preferred, with an emphasis on real estate, condominium, timeshare, corporate, and contract law. Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills. Ability to think strategically and provide leadership. Ability to understand and analyze laws and legal concepts of foreign jurisdictions. The high degree of competence and familiarity with computers and the Internet. Strong analytical skills. A constructive approach to dealing with conflict, and the ability to influence and achieve successful results without damaging relationships. Ability to expeditiously identify and assess issues, evaluate risk and provide legally sound recommendations consistent with good business practices and reason. Ability to work independently, take ownership of, and effectively resolve problems. Strong interpersonal and consultative skills; ability to interact effectively and work diplomatically with individuals at all levels. Ability to foster relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization. Ability to effectively supervise paralegals and other support personnel in a team-oriented environment. Diligence, dependability, and strong work ethic. Balanced judgment and poise under pressure. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities quickly and comfortably. Professional presence and approach. Highly collaborative style and attitude.
