Temporary Contracts Attorney Duties: The candidate will be reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a broad range of vendor contracts including Systems integrator, SaaS, cloud services, and other technology-focused relationships. Consulting and strategy services engagements, commercial real estate leases, outsourcing arrangements, and other commercial matters. Communicating and coordinating with vendors and internal business partners to determine requirements, make assessments, negotiate terms and take other actions in connection with contract reviews and related projects. Providing advice to internal business partners regarding business issues such as deal terms, risk assessments, vendor comments, strategy, and company policy. Managing multiple simultaneous projects involving contracts with varying levels of complexity. Providing legal advice and support on a variety of vendor transactions and related business issues. Working with contract lifecycle management system involving new contracts, amendments, renewals, and terminations. Assisting with the development and revision of contract templates, policies, and procedures. Collaborating with internal stakeholders and other attorneys, including outside counsel, who provide operational support. Advising on approach and applicable enterprise policies and standards to build consensus. Supporting a risk-aware culture and ensuring effective risk management practices.
Qualifications: The candidate should have a JD Degree and licensed to practice law, and 5-8 years of experience in a law firm and/or in-house with a focus on vendor contracts. Experience with technology and master services agreements required. In-depth knowledge of contract law and commercial issues. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and solid analytical skills. Creative problem-solving ability with a focus on achieving business solutions while managing company risk. Highly driven and self-motivated. Ability to timely and efficiently manage a large volume of projects and transactions. Strong negotiation and organization skills. Experience managing large workloads, focusing on critical projects, and prioritizing competing work assignments. Team player able to build relationships with Legal Department colleagues and business partners across the company.
