Lead Counsel, Privacy The candidate will drive high-impact privacy initiatives to meet privacy requirements and best practices, by advising product, business and legal stakeholders. Facilitate a consistent and sustainable approach to complex and novel privacy issues across the company by developing strategies and driving leadership alignment. Maintain subject matter expertise in multiple areas of privacy and evaluate the impact of relevant requirements (US state and federal privacy laws and regulations, GDPR and other global privacy laws), regulatory guidance, and enforcement actions. J.D. degree (or foreign equivalent) and membership in at least one US State Bar. Should have 5+ years of legal experience, including at a law firm and/or in-house experience. Demonstrated expertise with global privacy laws, regulations, and industry guidelines, especially those relevant for social media, ad tech and internet companies. Demonstrated experience in understanding technology and enthusiasm about innovations is preferred. Experience advancing projects in a multi-stakeholder environment are preferred. Demonstrated business judgment, willingness to provide practical solutions and client counseling experience is preferred.
