Corporate Counsel Accountabilities: Review, draft, and negotiate primarily Supply Chain contracts and a variety of complex commercial contracts. Maintain focus on our end customers (win-win) and develop strong partnerships with other functions across the organization to achieve successful business outcomes and negotiate contracts with an appropriate balance of risk and reward consistent with Plexus' strategy and risk appetite. Develop, maintain, and continuously improve contracting processes and resources available to the legal and business teams. Own various other corporate legal responsibilities and/or special projects on an ongoing and/or as-needed basis. Provide an outstanding customer experience to internal and external customers by providing effective guidance and solutions, listening, delivering on commitments, seeking opportunities to learn and teach, and being respectful and passionate. Provide legal services for other matters affecting Plexus' commercial relationships, including various risk analysis and management activities, pre-litigation dispute resolution, etc. Analyze and effectively communicate risks across all levels of the organization to facilitate informed decision-making. Accountable to execute on Best People strategy, leaders will focus on evaluating potential, driving succession planning and ensuring that their employees receive the development and coaching required to realize their full potential. Continuous Improvement: Strategically partner with leaders and others in order to complete needs assessment and improvement activities targeted at improving process efficiency across the team; own execution of improvement activities as required. As required, provide support and/or lead special projects and strategic transactions by conducting research, drafting documents, and taking ownership of steps required for successful completion. Continuously builds skills through personal and professional development, including formal continuing education and informal review of available resources, both internal and external.
Qualifications: Juris Doctorate is required. Should have 1 year of related experience is required; 3+ years of related experience is preferred. Supply Chain and/or Sourcing contracting experience is preferred. Strong negotiation skills/experience and business judgment. Ability to maintain the confidentiality of all department, company, customer and other third party information. Skillful in handling internal and external customer relations. Ability to quickly, succinctly and accurately analyze, understand and respond to contract provisions. The ability to manage a high volume of documents and communication.
