Working well both independently and as a team player, with a willingness and ability to take on assignments outside of the normal areas of responsibilities as needed. Developing expertise in specific areas pertinent to the company's business and staying current with relevant precedent and best practices. Focusing on building a career within an organization, rather than looking for the next job. Maintaining a willingness to learn each day, accept and follow directions, and embrace new challenges. Having a self-motivated disposition and committing each day to achieve your personal best.
The candidate should have a Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited U.S. law school. Active member of the Florida Bar who is, and must remain, in good standing and licensed to practice law. Fully bilingual (English and Spanish). Knowledge of Florida law and business law. Experience in litigating cases at all stages as first chair (at a law firm and/or in-house). Transactional experience with strong drafting, researching, and negotiating skills. Good computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office. Experience handling arbitrations (preferred. Experience handling legal matters involving Latin American countries (preferred).
