Corporate Counsel Duties: Serve as the primary legal contact for company branches nationwide. Be the primary interface with, and manage outside counsel on all matters of litigation or regulatory compliance. Oversee and execute all legal duties relating but not limited to joint ventures, claims, mitigation of risk, government contracts and other day to day legal items. Draft, review, interpret and negotiate a wide range of contracts and agreements including subcontracts, purchase orders, master contracts, non-disclosure agreements and non-compete agreements. Review and improve standard contract templates and identify areas of continuous improvement for the contract management process and other company processes. Counsel company branches on legal implications of commercial and operational matters in order and provide legal advice that aligns with company's goals. Develop and implement training programs for operations and corporate personnel on risk mitigation, contract management, and regulatory compliance. Performing records and legal research. Work in conjunction with various internal departments to identify and address legal and business issues. Perform additional tasks as requested by the General Counsel.
Basic Qualifications: JD and 3-4 years of experience. License to practice law. Strong technical, organizational and communication skills, both oral and written. Ability to meet the high expectations of a demanding work environment. Ability to work independently, efficiently and proactively on multiple projects under tight deadlines while maintaining a commitment to quality. Preferred Qualifications: Construction industry experience. Federal contracting experience.
