AVP US Capital Markets and Banking Attorney Duties: The candidate will be managing the execution of Capital Markets & CIBD transactions and the legal, execution, and regulatory issues. Actively covering the relevant sectors to ensure that transaction execution and legal risk management are being conducted in accordance with the commercial objectives of the business. Actively working with external counsel to efficiently manage the execution of a large volume of transactions in the relevant Capital Markets and CIBD coverage areas. Maintaining form documentation for the relevant coverage areas and ensuring that deals reflect a consistent approach to prospectus/proxy disclosure and/or M&A advisory transactions. Leading negotiation of legal agreements with external Capital Markets and CIBD clients, including mandate agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and ancillary letter agreements. Advising the businesses on conflict of interest issues arising in the course of transaction planning and execution and facilitating the firm's provision of premium client service. Present updates on transaction execution matters and reporting on legal and regulatory developments to the Head of CIBD Legal. Working with members of the CIBD Legal team, in the Americas and in other regions, to ensure a consistent approach to legal issues affecting the Capital Markets & CIBD businesses.

Qualifications: The candidate will be a practicing attorney admitted to the bar in New York. Five years of experience at a top-tier law firm and knowledge of US securities laws and broker-dealer regulation. Prior experience advising and/or working at an investment bank is desirable. Excellent written and verbal English language skills. Any foreign language skills are a plus. Prior experience advising and/or working at an investment bank is desirable. Proven skills in legal and regulatory risk management.
