Associate General Counsel (contracts)

Associate General Counsel (Contracts) The candidate will draft, edit and review agreements and other relevant legal documentation relating to Tetakawi's relationships with clients and prospective clients. Participate in the end-to-end contracting process in close partnership with the Contract Manager and General Counsel and the Contracts Administrator. Evaluate and advise appropriate legal courses of action to meet Tetakawi's needs on various business matters. Establish procedures and ensure correct administration regarding Tetakawi's corporate books and records. Administer Tetakawi's business insurance needs and policies. Assist in any arbitration/litigation proceedings. Assist other departments in their legal documentation needs related to clients and prospective clients. Should have a Master's Degree in Legal Studies or a similar field. Juris Doctor is preferred. License to practice law in Arizona is preferred, or able to obtain the Arizona Certificate of Registration of In-House Counsel within 90 days of commencement of employment. Excellent written and oral communication skills; 1 year of contract drafting experience; 2 years of contract administration experience; 2 years of negotiation experience a plus. Speak, read, and write fluently and professionally in both English and Spanish; ability to work independently; strong team player; committed to excellence; Arbitration/litigation (discovery) experience preferred; negotiation skills. Experience working in Mexico preferred. Experience with the HCCH 1961 Apostille Convention preferred.
