Assistant General Counsel- Intellectual Property and Brand Protection The candidate will review, negotiate, and close license and other commercial agreements involving the company's intellectual property. Develop effective partnerships with key business partners involving the company's intellectual property. Create and execute on strategies that optimize our business objectives while reducing risks related to intellectual property in the areas of product design, distribution, and marketing. Oversee and manage IP portfolios (primarily trademarks) and develop strategies for cost-efficient maintenance of those portfolios. Provide support for mergers and acquisitions and activities in the areas of IP and licensing. Engage in or direct litigation as necessary to defend and enhance the company's intellectual property assets and brand selling strategies and practices. A Juris Doctorate (JD) degree is required and licensed in Missouri. Should have 5 years of experience in intellectual property litigation and management. Demonstrated experience in negotiating, drafting, and managing contracts from start to finish.
