Commercial Contracts Counsel

Commercial Contracts Counsel The candidate will review, analyze and negotiate complex commercial agreements, including transactions relating to: domestic and international supply chain, marketing, professional services, information technology, e-commerce, transportation, real estate and human resources. Work in parallel with other members of the legal team in multiple regions of the world to provide strategic direction, while aligning the legal activities with recognized best practices. Interpret and explain contract terms and conditions for internal clients and stakeholders. Advise stakeholders on the potential impact and risks of contractual provisions. Work with other internal stakeholders and other members of the legal team as needed to finalize specialized contractual provisions and addenda (e.g., data security provisions, data processing addenda). Help develop and refine commercial contracting processes. Stay current on relevant laws and regulations that affect the company's operations, including data privacy laws and regulations in domestic and applicable international jurisdictions. Should have 4+ years of legal experience; in-house experience preferred with the apparel industry. Experience working with a wide variety of contracts. Prior work in a global public company is preferred. Must be able to handle multiple priorities and demands, with often rushed and condensed timelines; strong organizational, planning and time management skills, and a proven record of driving for and achieving results. Excellent judgment and outstanding negotiation and problem-solving skills are required. Must be able to evaluate issues from legal and business perspectives with a practical, business-oriented approach to problem-solving. Familiarity with DPAs and other contracting requirements relating to data protection. Must be customer-focused with strong interpersonal attributes and listening skills. Team-oriented; ability to get along with corporate professionals at all levels. Able to influence across all levels.
