Attorney (Automotive and Energy) Duties: Work independently yet collaboratively with various stakeholders throughout the organization including Head of Legal, Motor, Head of Legal, Regulatory and Compliance, Head of Legal, Energy and the Chief Legal Officer. Standardize and improve processes, develop training (as necessary), and integrate legal functions with business clients.
Qualifications: JD from an ABA-accredited law school. Bar admittance in at least one (1) U.S. state or the District of Colombia and willingness to arrange admittance in Arizona within one (1) year of employment. Should have 2-4 years of experience as a practicing attorney with extensive hands-on experience handling complex commercial contractual drafting and negotiations, e.g. supply agreements, engineering agreements, master service agreements, development agreements, and licensing agreements. Experience as in-house counsel at a manufacturing company in the automotive industry or substantial experience providing transactional legal support for a large manufacturing and/or technology company; and Knowledge of and experience with: U.S. Federal government automotive laws and regulations or U.S. Federal government funding opportunities, renewable energy contracts, and commercial real estate. Strong verbal and written communication skills, particularly in regard to describing legal issues for business client and management. Willingness to learn about emerging industries and corresponding legal and regulatory requirements. The ability to work well in time-sensitive situations and fast-paced environments.
