Senior Counsel, Litigation Duties: Oversee and manage a wide range of litigation and investigatory matters with the aid of outside counsel, including securities, employment, commercial, and intellectual property. Collaborate with outside counsel to ensure top-notch representation and handling of litigation and disputes, including ensuring high-quality work product, effective strategy, and adherence to company objectives. Partner with other legal colleagues and business stakeholders to effectively manage daily operations related to any disputes, litigation matters, or regulatory investigations. Partner with internal stakeholders regarding insurance coverage and strategy and coordinate with insurance carriers on litigation coverage and defense. Help to oversee and update litigation policies and processes, including the e-discovery process. Work seamlessly and collaboratively as a legal business partner to multiple internal business stakeholders. Drive internal strategy for case handling and resolution, including the assessment of risks, required litigation resources, and settlement values. Support the development of processes, procedures, and metrics to increase the overall effectiveness of the legal services provided to the company, including evaluation of litigation metrics and outside counsel success. Maintain generalized knowledge of litigation, arbitration, and mediation processes and monitor litigation trends and developments related to the EV industry. Collaborate with members of the legal team to complete general legal projects and initiatives. Qualifications: Law degree (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited institution. Should have 5-9 years of substantive general litigation experience, preferably both in-house and at a law firm. Experience in both State and Federal courts. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), including the ability to effectively relay complex information in a concise format. AmLaw 100 law firm experience preferred. Practical business judgment. Proven track record of learning quickly, taking initiative, working proactively, being resourceful, and taking on additional responsibility. Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and independently, prioritize workflow, meet demanding deadlines, and manage multi-faceted projects.
