Privacy, Regulatory, and Technology Legal Counsel The candidate will advise, assess, coordinate, and train Pentair businesses on compliance with privacy, data protection, cyber security product regulatory laws. Develop strategies and provide leadership to effectively integrate sustainable product regulatory programs, systems, and processes into business systems to drive compliance with relevant product regulations. Develop and lead implementation of systems to support data collection and management for privacy, data protection, and regulatory compliance. Provide leadership to enhance competitive advantages and risks. Engage businesses to ensure compliance with relevant Product Regulatory and Stewardship regulations, with a focus on European, Middle East, and United Stated (federal and state) regulations. Support company M&A initiatives and activities including providing support for diligence and integration efforts specific to privacy, cyber security, data protection, and product regulatory matters. Support the broader legal team as requested, including but not limited to, IP contract drafting, ensuring compliant response to cybersecurity incidents, strategic transactions, mergers and acquisitions, compliance matters, litigation, and claims. Where outside expertise is appropriate, effectively manage the work and expense of external law firms. Other duties as assigned.

The candidate should have a JD from an accredited law school of recognized standing and currently licensed to practice law in the United States. Should have 7 years of relevant legal experience required which preferably includes some in-house legal experience. Experience in counseling clients on complex legal issues. Experience in managing privacy and data protection compliance and drafting relevant internal and external privacy and data protection policies. Experience in handling regulatory compliance matters such as labeling, marketing, permitting and agency inquiries. Experience in managing and responding to non-compliant incidents. Expertise in applicable U.S. consumer data protection privacy laws (e.g., CCPA, CPRA, etc.). Expertise in applicable U.S. state and federal product stewardship regulations (e.g., DOE, Prop 65, TSCA, etc.). Knowledge about global privacy product regulatory regimes is preferable (e.g., REACH, RoHS, and other EU Directives, SASO, Gulf EState Standards, etc.). Knowledge about the EU's GDPR is preferable. Results-oriented displays sound judgment and ability to balance business considerations and gets results while maintaining effective business relationships with varied constituencies. Ability to provide excellent, timely customer service in a fast-paced and quickly evolving business environment. Enjoys the challenge of unfamiliar tasks and projects. A quick, independent learner who can handle multiple projects simultaneously and work well both independently and as a member of a team. Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills. Be willing to commit long hours, as necessary, to reach business goals. Works well with global teams. Able to communicate clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles. The high degree of discretion and judgment; absolute confidentiality and integrity. Understands how to effectively prioritize and meet deadlines. Proactive and reliable. Occasional travel may be required (10% or less).
