Senior Counsel, Contracts The candidate will provide strategic advice during senior-level negotiations of complex contracts including but not limited to service, supply, manufacturing, finance, leases, consulting, construction, transportation, and warehouse agreements. Will serve as key business partner to the procurement team, working collaboratively with procurement managers, clients, and key stakeholders to develop legal strategies to meet the business needs. Identifies and implements innovative solutions and best practices that address the priorities of Firms procurement team, develop templates, playbooks and other guidelines for contracting. develop training strategy and course materials on contracting matters. Partners with Firms compliance department in developing, revising, implementing, and monitoring compliance with Firms contract policy. Effectively working with Firms global purchasing team to advise on global contracts and responding to, and resolving commercial disputes affecting Firms North America business. Advise departments and units in asserting, responding to, and resolving commercial disputes involving the purchase of goods and services. Handle a diverse range of duties and responsibilities effectively while exercising initiative and independent judgment in a fast-paced, multinational environment. and Stay abreast of relevant and emerging trends in the law.

The candidate should have a Juris doctor degree from a top-tier law school and Bar admission. Must have 10+ years of relevant legal experience in a top-tier law firm and/or in-house legal department. Must have people management experience. Should have experience and ability to identify legal issues quickly and communicate sound, understandable legal recommendations to the business effectively.
