Senior Corporate Counsel - IP and Licensing The candidate will advise the company on IP matters. Will support the company's patent, trademark, and copyright protection strategies and portfolios; help manage patent and trademark prosecution. Draft and negotiate IP and technology license terms of various agreements, including software license agreements, cloud and other types of services agreements, collaboration agreements, and strategic partnership agreements. Advise the company on open-source compliance matters.
The candidate should have a JD degree. Must have 5 years of relevant experience as an IP attorney. Experience protecting inventions and managing patent prosecution in the software area is required. Experience with drafting and negotiating various types of license agreements and other agreements, including software license agreements is needed. Experience with software products, protection and licensing is preferred. Experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications in the software area is desired. Experience with open-source software compliance issues is a plus. Experience working with software developers is desired. Should preferably have experience with license compliance issues, including license breaches, copyright infringements, and software pirates.
