Principal Corporate Counsel The candidate will draft, review, revise, and negotiate complex finance and commercial agreements that facilitate customer procurement success and meet Firms goals. Will develop close working relationships with the sales, operations, risk, finance and legal team members as well as a deep understanding of go-to-market strategies, business processes, and product offerings. Become adept at quickly making sound legal judgments to facilitate nimble business execution. Manage legal requests from multiple internal clients, with the ability to prioritize key transactions. Respond promptly to requests from internal clients. Summarize and communicate legal issues in plain English. Assist in the continuous improvement of standard form agreements, playbooks and other sales negotiation tools. Be a phenomenal teammate, willing to pitch in and assist wherever needed as part of a small, geographically dispersed team. Consistently maintain the Firm's high standards of integrity and ethical and transparent conduct.
The candidate should have Bar admission in any jurisdiction with good standing, with 5 years of relevant experience at a law firm and/or in-house (the ideal candidate will have both law firm and in-house experience). Outstanding contract negotiation and drafting skills, with the ability to discuss complex issues in a clear and simple manner both in writing and orally plus. In-depth knowledge of equipment/asset finance contracting and general business law and experience negotiating finance or other commercial transactions is desired.
