Contracts Attorney The candidate is responsible for the analysis of various legal contracts, policies, and related documents on behalf of HHCS and Affiliates and for communicating concerns raised in legal analysis to requesting departments and leaders. Assists in developing and providing education on contracting issues and trends. Works with department leaders across the System and Senior Paralegal to ensure executed contracts are uploaded into Hamiltons contract management system. Manages the Legal Work Request Program to ensure timely distribution of said requests, appropriate follow-up, and work request closure, and runs and maintains work request reports to track and trend data. Responsible for researching and analyzing and presenting on legal and regulatory matters as requested by the Chief Legal Officer, the Deputy General Counsel, or Executive Staff. Assists in identifying and communicating regulatory trends and requirements to applicable departments and Affiliates, which duties may include developing and providing education on these requirements. Undergraduate degree required. A Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school is required. Georgia Bar License is needed. Should have 7+ years of legal experience required with health care, insurance, or litigation experience preferred. Management and communication skills are required. Must be able to handle a high degree of detail and be able to manage a number of ongoing projects at the same time. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. Ability to communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and associates within HHCS. Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with System staff, business, industry, community, and other professional groups. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Ability to express ideas logically, cogently, and persuasively both orally and in writing.
