Corporate Counsel The candidate provides in-house legal services and support to all departments to ensure alignment with business goals. Drafts, reviews and negotiates a variety of general commercial contracts. Reviews, drafts, and advises on a variety of agreements including transactional agreements for acquisitions, commercial leases, and real estate transactions. Provides oversight and review for National Account Agreements, RFPs, NDAs, etc. Manages outside counsel in appropriate situations. Researches and anticipates legal issues that could impact the company. Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school. Should have 4-6 years of applicable law experience. Bar qualification in Missouri, or ability to become licensed to practice law in Missouri. A thorough understanding of commercial contracts, real estate transactions and lease documents, and a broad range of experience in other legal areas. Excellent written and oral communication skills, with sound business judgment. Excellent interpersonal skills. Strong negotiating skills. Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language. Exceptionally self-motivated and directed, flexible, and able to work independently with minimal supervision and direction while keeping business partners informed. Keen attention to detail. Superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities. Exceptional service orientation. Ability to motivate in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
