Assistant General Counsel - Data Privacy and Contracts The candidate will provide legal guidance on global privacy and data security laws and regulations. Oversee data subject request process and program. Manage, update and implement privacy policies, procedures and guidelines, and ensure compliance with the same. Respond to privacy and data protection-related inquiries from internal stakeholders. Manage outside counsel budget and activities related to Data Privacy and Contract matters. Draft, manage and update key provisions for contract templates. Oversee and improve upon the internal contract management process across the organization and assess and resolve inefficiencies. Maintain knowledge of laws, regulations and best practices in data privacy. Create and deliver ongoing training across the organization, particularly with respect to privacy. Participate in the evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Perform other related duties as assigned. Should have a J.D. from an accredited law school with 2-4 years of relevant legal experience, in-house counsel experience a plus. Licensed to practice law in at least one US state. Experience as counsel for a SaaS Company (in-house or external) preferred. Certified International Privacy Professional Certification (CIPP) is a plus. Demonstrated success in building internal trust and strong relationships with business partners. Excellent time management and organizational skills with a proven ability to work in a fast-paced and rapidly evolving environment. Knowledge and experience analyzing and applying federal, state, and global laws related to privacy and data protection, including GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, etc. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Experience with Google Workspace a plus.
