Senior Privacy Counsel The candidate will review new product initiatives for core features like shopping, personalization, and ads for privacy compliance. Ensure's compliance with privacy laws, including by: monitoring regulatory developments, driving projects to implement any needed process or policy changes, and reviewing new features for compliance. Meet regularly with other legal team members, including product counsel, and members of our engineering and product teams to counsel them on privacy law developments. Must be able to work US Eastern Time hours. Privacy subject matter expertise, including: US law expertise, familiarity with one other region (eg LatAm or APAC) - an eagerness to learn is great too. Practical counseling experience, including sufficient technical expertise to properly understand complex data flows and processing. Risk tolerance, and the ability to work collaboratively with legal and technical stakeholders. Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional Privacy compliance projects. Must have 7+ years working in a privacy-focused in-house or law firm practice. JD or equivalent from accredited institution. Admitted to practice law in at least one state.
