Contracts Counsel The candidate will advise the commercial, operations and contracts teams with respect to all aspects of the legal environment, including commercial leasing, vendor contracts, real estate, insurance, and other matters. Oversee key elements of insurance claims litigation and customer contracts compliance. Maintain corporate compliance policies, including delegation of authority, record retention and vendor management. Manage various elements of the contracts management and administration process, including negotiating key terms with customers, suppliers, landlords, and other parties. Report to senior leadership regarding customer and vendor contracts matters. Serve as a model of ethical behavior for the organization. Ability to work with minimal supervision as well as in a team environment. Demonstrate a positive and professional image. A J.D. / law degree from an accredited institution and admission to the Missouri Bar. Should have 2 years legal experience working in an in-house legal department or within a transactional, corporate, or commercial group at a law firm. Some legal experience in commercial contracts, leasing contracts, insurance, insurance claims and litigation experience is a plus. Supervisory experience is a plus. Sound judgment and ability to analyze situations and information. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. High degree of professional ethics and integrity. Fluency in MS Word. Proficiency in Excel is a plus. Proficiency in PowerPoint is a plus.
