Senior Litigation Counsel The candidate will cost-effectively and efficiently manage day-to-day litigation portfolio (up to 100+ matters) consisting of consumer, commercial, class action, and real estate-related lawsuits, regulatory investigations, and complaints from inception through trial and appeal. Develop successful litigation strategies and supervise and direct outside counsel and internal team in implementing and managing them. Apply creative thinking to develop and manage innovative processes (including automated processes) aimed at improving operational effectiveness and productivity, including the development of metrics, dashboards, and standard reporting to measure the impact of litigation team effectiveness and the impact of litigation and regulatory scrutiny on business, including playbooks, workflows, policies, and standard operating procedures. Collaborate with stakeholders to develop, implement and manage processes to more efficiently identify root causes of litigation, identify recommended business solutions that reduce risks associated with such root causes, and effectively communicate both to internal stakeholders for implementation. Serve as a key business and legal partner by virtue of technical competence, excellent business judgment, and ability to develop relationships throughout the organization. Interface effectively with management at all levels, including curating and maintaining professional and meaningful relationships with key stakeholders and Camping World Senior Leaders. Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of business operations and objectives to assess risk and bring together cross-functional teams to ensure business alignment. Collaborate with and provide actionable advice and creative solutions to business partners on various business and strategic issues. Partner with and provide proactive legal counsel and training to internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams (e.g., sales, service, marketing, operations, finance and accounting, product, IT, and legal). Identify, cultivate relationships with, and give opportunities to outstanding under-represented litigation attorneys at law firms to increase the diversity of outside counsel representation.

The candidate should have JD. from an ABA-accredited law school and member in good standing with Illinois or another State Bar. Should have 5+ years of (preferably law firm and in-house) substantive litigation and trial experience. Consumer litigation experience is a plus. Demonstrated proficiency in core litigation competencies, e.g., pre-litigation practice, legal research, all aspects of discovery, dispositive motion practice, pleadings, deposition practice, trial, appeal, mediation, arbitration, and negotiation. Demonstrated understanding of litigation and trial rules and practice. Strong business and financial acumen and the ability to understand Camping World's business, quickly focus on the aspects that matter the most to the business and be proactive in addressing potential issues. Proven ability to partner effectively with other functional areas and stakeholders, such as finance, accounting, tax, and operations. Exceptional negotiation, drafting, and communication skills. Proven client management skills, with the ability to inspire confidence and build trust with senior management and other professionals at all levels of the organization by virtue of professional competence, personal integrity, and personal style. Outstanding judgment, flexibility, and strong analytical ability, with an ability to proactively determine, prioritize and resolve issues. Creativity and resourcefulness, with a drive to achieve positive results. Dedication and commitment to practicing law in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Successfully managed, organized, and/or completed multiple tasks and priorities. Strong interest in using information technology to support digital transformation. Strong project management skills and an interest in innovating the role of an in-house litigator through technology. Skilled in leading and facilitating both in-person and virtual meetings with stakeholders, including corporate investigations and internal interviews.
