Tai - Senior Compliance Counsel

TAI - Senior Compliance Counsel The candidate will be developing, refining, and updating policies and procedures to enhance corporate compliance. Will be conducting investigations into allegations of violations of the Toshiba Standards of Conduct, associated policies, or the law. Managing internal investigations, including intake meetings, background research, investigative interviews, and meetings with company leadership. Advising on corrective and preventative measures based on root cause analyses from investigations, such as risk-based business enhancements, mitigation strategies, training, and disciplinary action. Developing, refining, and updating compliance training. Developing, refining, and updating compliance communication tools. Advising business units on anti-bribery and corruption program details, antitrust-related practices, and other compliance matters and initiatives. Assisting the CECO by monitoring and validating controls to ensure that projects, documentation, and processes are compliant with compliance policies and procedures. Designing and performing assessments, analysis, monitoring, and reports on compliance risks. Identifying gaps in the design and operating effectiveness of control frameworks. Collecting and analyzing metrics that will allow the company to understand current risk trends and control effectiveness. Working with internal teams to remediate any activities for continuous process improvement, including managing projects for compliance enhancement. The candidate should have 5 years of legal or compliance experience at a law firm, company, or government agency. Must have 3 years of investigation experience. Must have demonstrated legal and compliance judgment. Should have demonstrated oral and written presentation skills. Demonstrated experience in advising senior management on legal or compliance matters is required. Demonstrated experience in policy development and formulation is needed.
