Compliance and Employment Counsel The candidate will support the maturation of's corporate compliance infrastructure including the evolution of policies and training programs. Review and draft compliance-related documents, track compliance initiatives, and oversee ongoing adherence. Assist with drafting of policies, procedures and guidelines addressing compliance-related issues. Manage compliance investigations. Provide legal support to human resource professionals throughout the U.S. and Canada on a broad range of labor and employment issues including hiring, discipline and termination, reductions-in-force, leaves of absences, disability accommodations, FMLA, and wage and hour compliance. Should have Doctor of Jurisprudence (J.D.) with 5 years of experience in private practice or corporate law department. Proficiency in employment law and compliance programs. Highly preferred to have experience implementing and sustaining compliance programs. Excellent and succinct verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment as a team member. Curiosity for laws and regulations. Strive for best-in-class. Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Must demonstrate sound judgment and adherence to ethical standards at all times. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Solid computer skills and excellent communication skills with an emphasis on clear and precise writing. Initiative and drive, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across a complex organization and with all levels of management. Project management and organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects with varying deadlines and priorities. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner. Additional duties as assigned.
