Corporate Counsel The candidate will advise key stakeholders on a wide range of legal issues and articulate associated risks. Assist the organization in the creation or improvement of processes, procedures, and systems that promote risk avoidance and prevent litigation. Develop and conduct training on various legal topics relevant to risk mitigation. Advise management related to strategy, governance, organizational issues, and other related matters. Coordinate and supervise outside counsel providing litigation services for the organization and assist with discovery matters. Assist with regulatory and compliance matters. Support, actively participate, and act in accordance with Wright's culture of safety and employee ownership. Comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations; maintains knowledge of and follow all company policies and procedures. Maintain regular and punctual attendance at work and meetings. A J.D. degree from an accredited law school and 10+ years of progressive litigation experience. Bar admission and work from corporate headquarters in West Des Moines, Iowa. Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, along with the ability to communicate effectively with others at all levels of the organization. Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships within the organization's legal department and across all departments and business units. Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality. Strong work ethic, the highest level of integrity and honesty, and possess a continual focus on striving for excellence. Ability to read, write and speak English sufficiently to perform job duties and to interact and communicate with vendors, and employees.
