The successful candidate will provide legal advice, counsel and risk management training to business line management and Human Resources, develop and draft policies, plans, agreements and contracts, and manage administrative agency claims, threatened litigation, and litigation. **Required Qualifications:** - 2+ years of Law experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education - Active State Bar membership or the equivalent in a country outside the United States **Desired Qualifications:** - Knowledge of and extensive experience in state and federal employment laws and regulations - Knowledge and experience with handling employment law matters in litigation and the administrative agency process - Assume responsibility quickly and have the ability to work in a complex environment requiring a high degree of collaboration - Two years of employment law experience - Ability to analyze employment law and regulatory issues and provide effective advice to clients on complex employment legal matters - In house legal experience - Experience providing counsel and guidance regarding complex employment law issues - Experience with FINRA matters, including providing counsel and guidance regarding complex employment law issues involving employees who are licensed through FINRA and experience handling arbitration of employment claims before FINRA - Experience handling state and federal employment law matters of all types - Experience handling employment litigation, administrative issues, and arbitration of employment claims before AAA, JAMS, or other arbitration forums - Strong attention to detail and accuracy - Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills - Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work while handling matters of significance - Ability to work effectively in a complex environment with a high degree of collaboration - Effective in building partnerships, functioning well with project teams, and working for the success of the team **Job Expectations** - Travel up to 10% - Ability to work at one of our approved job posting locations - Ability to work a hybrid schedule, in office at least 3 days a week **Pay Range** - $96,600.00 - $171,800.00 Annual **Benefits** - Information about 's employee benefits can be found on the Careers website. is looking for an experienced Counsel to join its Employment Counseling & Litigation Section and provide legal advice, counsel and risk management training to business line management and Human Resources. Overview of Counsel - Employment Counseling & Litigation Position at is looking for an experienced Counsel to join its Employment Counseling & Litigation Section and provide legal advice, counsel and risk management training to business line management and Human Resources. The successful candidate should have a minimum of two years of law experience and active State Bar membership or the equivalent in a country outside the United States. **Responsibilities:** - Participate in complex initiatives and identify opportunity for process improvements - Represent the Company in highly complex litigation, negotiations, settlement discussions, and claims related legal issues - Provide guidance to internal clients on legal matters - Review and analyze basic assignments or challenges that require research, evaluation, and selection of alternatives, and exercise independent judgment to guide medium risk deliverables - Manage highly complex claims and litigation - Participate in initiatives of varying scope and complexity - Support the work of more experienced counsel along with professional staff on complex matters or may consult with more experienced counsel and outside counsel on complex matters - Present recommendations for complex situations
