The Legal & Compliance Officer will be responsible for the following: Provide legal advice to business executives, managers and company staff. Negotiate and draft contracts with clients, brokers, insurance companies and service providers, among others. Collaborate with executives, business managers, lawyers, compliance personnel and support staff business units in the design, development, and testing of internal control systems. Monitor applicable laws and regulations, in order to assure that appropriate internal control programs are in place. Communicate complex regulatory issues to management and internal staff in a way that ensures an understanding of compliance issues. Manage regulatory complaints and administrative proceedings.
