Tax Staff - National Tax - Customs and International Trade
The candidate will research customs and international trade issues. With the help of senior staff, advise clients on customs compliance issues and potential duty savings strategies. Perform customs compliance work for clients. Assist in developing and delivering quality planning ideas with timely and responsive services and high-quality work products. Keep informed of current customs developments and effectively apply knowledge to client situations. Thoroughly and accurately analyze information. Assist in developing recommendations and implementation plans. Make informed decisions in complex and judgmental areas. Demonstrate flexibility, teamwork skills and leadership initiative. Participate in client service teams. Participate in and contribute to achieving team goals.
The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree and 1 year of related work experience OR a Graduate degree and 1 year of related work experience. Should have a degree in accounting, business, finance, international relations or a related field. A Master's degree or J.D. is highly preferred. Should have customs experience at the US Customs and Border Protection, a professional services firm, a Fortune 500 company, or a major importer.
