Senior Accountant - Tax Advisory Services
The candidate will be responsible for tax compliance and/or review, research, planning and audit representation for commercial businesses, not for profits, government entities and individuals. Will manage or supervise phases of client engagements, may have primary client responsibility and, in some cases, may be assigned to manage a department. May be called upon to deliver presentations and to write articles and to provide leadership, supervision, training and performance feedback to Senior and Staff level Accountants. Prepare and/or review Federal, State, County and Local Income/Franchise, Sales/Use and Property returns. Perform tax compliance and/or review services for a diverse range of clients in one or more industries. Gather and prepare information for Federal or State Tax Auditors. Complete research and planning projects.
The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. Advanced degrees would be preferred. J.D., LL.M. or advanced degrees preferred. Must have 3-5 years of professional tax accounting experience (industry or public). SALT experience (Sales and Use, Income/Franchise, Property) preferred. CPA or CMI certification helpful. Experience with research tools (RIA, CCH, etc.) and with PTMS or ProSystems FX software preferred. Federal Tax and International Tax experience desirable.
