SALT AUP Tax Manager
The candidate should have Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting. Master of Science in Taxation, J.D. with Accounting or Tax, or Master of Law in Taxation preferred. Certified Public Accountant, Enrolled Agent or Membership of the Bar required. Must have 5+ years of experience. Should have thorough knowledge of identifying and quantifying property subject to states' escheat provisions, abandoned and unclaimed property statutory issues, including planning, restructuring, due diligence, and audit defense for companies with a presence in multi-state jurisdictions. Some knowledge of state and local tax required. Should preferably have comprehensive technical skills, including interpreting and applying abandoned and unclaimed property statutory law, applying changes in legislation, identifying restructuring opportunities and compliance.
