Tax Senior Manager - State and Local Tax (Credits and Incentives)
The candidate will multiple and challenging tax engagements and contribute to the delivery of such services to the marketplace. Will demonstrate an understanding of multi-state credit and incentive programs, Federal WOTC and local incentive programs. Be able to effectively apply state-specific income tax laws to client situations. Deliver work products that meet or exceed client expectations. Identify and present credit and incentive opportunities as well as ancillary tax planning and other special services. Thoroughly and accurately analyze information. Prepare quality, practical approaches to the client's tax situation and arrive at appropriate conclusions. Lead in developing recommendations and implementation plans and make informed decisions in complex and judgmental areas. Manage the work of client service team members. Participate in and contribute to attaining team goals.
The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree and 8 years of related work experience OR a Master's degree and 7 years of related work experience. A degree with an emphasis in accounting, finance, or economics is preferred. An advanced degree in tax or law is highly desirable. Should have CPA certification, Membership of the Bar, professional designation from the IPT or foreign equivalent certification. Must have 6+ years of relevant tax consulting experience or the equivalent experience in business or industry. Should have broad exposure to state and local taxation.
