A worldwide manufacturer of flow control products Assistant General Counsel having 1-5 years of experience in major or mid-size law firms or corporate legal department. The candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day legal management and support of the company. Will review, negotiate, and draft contracts and leases. Answer inquiries with regards to legal issues. Advise on creditor rights/bankruptcy issues. Manage litigation and workers' compensation claims. Conduct investigations as required. Act as a liaison with outside counsel and all departments, particularly finance and human resources. Provide legal training to associates. Act as a liaison between the legal department and the various business teams. Responsible for litigation management, discovery coordination and file system implementation. Review, negotiate and draft commercial contracts and leases over $10,000. Act as employment law and product distribution advisor. Champion process improvements to more effectively meet the corporation's needs in litigation management, contracting, and records retention. Plan, organize, and implement legal projects for target disciplines. Coach associates through situations requiring legal guidance. Develop and implement legal training on a variety of subjects as necessary. The candidate should have a Bachelor's and J.D. degree. Must be admitted to practice in Indiana.
