Associate General Counsel Duties: The candidate will be providing Legal support to the Pharmacy Solutions business, in particular to the Pharmacy Benefit Management Company (PBM). Developing and maintaining an excellent understanding of the federal and state regulatory environment in which PBM and Pharmacy Solutions business operate, as well as the operational details of business. Operating in a strategic and pro-active manner in order to assist clients in managing their relationships with customers and to manage the Legal and regulatory risk related to prescription drug programs. Drafting and assisting with negotiations for complex contractual arrangements. Managing outside counsel on complex regulatory or other issues. Interfacing with regulatory authorities, as necessary. Working closely with the regulatory affairs and Public Affairs teams. Guiding, training and assisting others on Legal issues. Qualifications: Juris Doctorate degree. 4+ years of Legal experience, preferably in health care arena. Understanding of the managed health care Industry preferred, including knowledge of ERISA, federal and state anti-kickback and self-referral laws, HIPAA privacy, Security and transaction requirements, and Medicare Part D regulations.
