Senior Compliance Counsel Duties: Responsible for the administration of the compliance program components pertaining to the Company's global operations. Report directly to the VP, Global Risk & Compliance and will have a strong working relationship with senior leadership within the company. Assists in development of the global compliance priorities, goals and objectives, and works to embed them in the business policies and practices. Assist in establishing and implementing compliance standards, policies and procedures related to the business. Provides periodic compliance reporting to senior management and global Compliance leadership. Supports implementation of the global compliance program. Develop, coordinate and manage global Compliance Best Practices. Follows up on progress of compliance risk mitigating actions and other compliance risk management issues until they are resolved. Participates in the enterprise-wide compliance risk assessment; ensures a compliance plan is in place to address priority risks identified. Actively participates in a change management process to ensure that any new or updated compliance requirements are implemented into the enterprise in a timely fashion. Establish a governance framework for global compliance policies and procedures; keep same current as business and regulatory environment evolve. May serve as a contact point for regulatory bodies; act as a liaison with external counsel and consultants on compliance matters. Coordinates with other governance functions (Internal Audit, IM, etc.) regarding assessment of risk and compliance audit-related activities. Oversees the administration of compliance audit plans and work programs. Develops effective compliance monitoring activities to enhance compliance. Maintains a process to receive and respond to internal complaints and questions related to compliance. Provides input in response to allegations of improper or illegal conduct. Advises management and global Compliance on the development of corrective action plans in response to regulator(s) identification of noncompliance. Performs follow-up reviews to ensure corrective action plans have been adequately implemented. Qualifications: J.D. degree or equivalent degree required. 5+ years as a compliance attorney with a deep understanding of compliance program elements, controls, global compliance requirements, issue management protocols, and governance practices. Knowledge of consumer products and/or healthcare industries along with international distribution, development and trade is desired. In-depth knowledge of Federal Sentencing Guidelines, OIGs Seven Elements of an effective compliance program and global regulatory requirements related to anti-bribery / anti-corruption and antitrust. Knowledge of compliance standards and best practices. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage and collaborate across functions, regions, and teams. English fluency is required. Knowledge of FCPA, FDA, WHO code, and U.S. GAAP preferred. Must have deep compliance program and global corporate experience along with a firm understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and regulatory bodies and compliance requirements and risks associated with these areas. Should be able to provide insights and guidance on the compliance risks and implications of any current or future business expansions, partnerships, and ventures. Must be able to collaborate with and influence a multi-faceted and cross-functional global team. Ability to exercise excellent compliance and business judgment, to integrate compliance and business issues, and to partner with business leaders as well as with other key functional areas. Ability to construct reasonable approaches to address risk that are mindful of both regulatory requirements and business objectives.
