Compliance Risk Assessment Manager Candidate will support efforts of the Compliance Department to ensure company s adherence to regulatory and internal rules and policies as relate to all lines of business and across all functional areas of the various subsidiary companies globally. Take ownership for identifying risk within assigned areas of responsibility and for supporting risk mitigation across company. Research, analyze, and theme regulations to conduct and capture the existing internal control design framework aligned. Assess existing processes, policies, and procedures and suggest new ones that most effectively anticipate, manage, and reduce risk to company and clients. Maintain regulatory awareness and compliance with risk-related policies and best practices. Demonstrate and embed the behaviors and competencies that create a risk management mindset in the organization. Assess the effectiveness of controls for complying with global (U.S, E.U., and APAC) regulations applicable to company. Identify, document and evaluate compliance risks for company s business areas, products, services, geographies, and clients. Document and track the escalation and resolution of compliance issues. Provide compliance support to company Compliance Liaisons, the Compliance Department s Business Partners, and company s business areas. Will be responsible for advising compliance obligations pertaining to risk assessments. Interfaces with other control functions to understand tactical and big picture issues in the organization. Candidate should have a BA / BS degree. J.D. degree is preferred. 5+ years of financial services industry experience in compliance, legal, or regulatory functions is essential. Strong knowledge of the financial service industry, regulatory environment is required. Proficient PC skills are needed. VBA and/or SharePoint skills are a plus. Extensive knowledge of general compliance principles and standards is required. Experience with remediation project management is needed.
