Will perform research and draft memoranda which will then be reviewed by International Tax partners or Directors prior to being released to clients or used for internal purposes outside of the International Tax Group. Research and prepare memoranda on areas of international tax. Assist International Tax Partners in various projects, including structuring international operations, international tax due diligence projects, International tax provision review, etc. Review international tax information reporting forms, including Forms 5471, 5472, 8865, 8858, TDF 90-22.1, etc. Assist and support the sales process for potential new clients with international operations. Delegate lower level research to staff and review that research. Mentor staff on appropriate research and documentation techniques. Assist in the preparation of presentations on international tax topics as part of firmwide training and/or firm sponsored CPE presentations. Prepare articles on international tax topics to be published on the firm's website and in firm publications. Tax provision preparation and review.
The candidate should have CPA. Law degree and LL.M. preferred. Must have 5+ years of experience in public accounting or law firm, with at least three years working in the international tax area. Knowledge of RIACheckpoint, BNA, Onesource RS and Onesource Tax Provision would also be very helpful. International tax structuring experience required. Travel will principally be within the South Florida area, with only occasional travel to other locations. Ability to speak Spanish and/or Portuguese would be helpful.
