California - TAX MANAGER

San Francisco CA Tax Manager The candidate's responsibilities will include a full array of tax services in the areas of individual, partnership, corporate, trusts, estates and not-for-profit organizations and consulting to high net worth entrepreneurs, businesses and family groups. Will manage day-to-day client relationships and maintain positive client satisfaction. Seeks opportunities to be creative and innovative in serving clients. Work closely with engagement partner and staff to meet client expectations. Manage the assignment budgets and profitability in area of responsibility. Keep current on applicable professional standards. Develop new client contacts and relationships beneficial to the firm. Participate in civic, business, community, and philanthropic activities. Understand company's full services and industry capabilities. Role model and mentor to new and existing staff. Assist in firm administrative functions as assigned by the partners. Participate in recruitment, business planning and retention initiatives. The candidate should have Bachelors in Accounting or Masters Degree in Accounting or Tax. CPA and/or J.D./LL.M. in Taxation is preferred. Must have 6-10 years of recent public accounting experience. Strong technical knowledge and a developing area of expertise is required. Columbus OH Senior Tax Accountant - Tax Consulting / Federal Tax Services The candidate will be responsible for the compliance function on clients including preparation and technical review of corporate, partnership and personal income tax returns. Will identify and implement tax planning and consulting opportunities, prepare and review client tax calculations, manage client tax relationships and supervise and develop staff. Identify and assist with implementation of tax planning and tax savings strategies. Research and consult on complex tax matters. The candidate should have a B.S. in Accounting. Columbus OH International Tax Manager - Tax Advisory Services The candidate will deliver US tax compliance and consulting services in support of client's inbound and outbound initiatives. Will deliver international tax compliance, review and advisory services. Advise clients on the tax implications of their inbound and outbound activities. Help clients identify and address domestic and international tax issues. Prepare tax returns, review work papers, and review consolidated returns. Perform with decreasing levels or supervision while increasing responsibility for directing the work of more junior level staff members. The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. A J.D., LL.M., MST and advanced degree preferred. CPA or CMI certification preferred. Must have 5-10 years of professional Accounting experience (industry or public), preferably with an emphasis on International Tax Accounting and Consulting.
