The candidate will be the primary liaison between company and the IRS Exam Team. Will be responsible for co-developing the federal tax audit plan with the IRS; developing audit strategy; analyzing audit issues and proposed adjustments and calculating the impact for tax positions (tax, interest and penalties). Also responsible for managing the IDR process, including preparing and coordinating company responses to the IRS and weekly IDR update meetings with the IRS and maintaining data between company and the IRS, and researching legal issues. Prepare articles on international tax topics to be published on the firm's website and in firm publications. Tax provision preparation and review.
The candidate should have CPA. Law degree and LL.M. preferred. Must have 5+ years of experience in public accounting or law firm, with at least three years working in the international tax area. Knowledge of RIACheckpoint, BNA, Onesource RS and Onesource Tax Provision would also be very helpful. International tax structuring experience required. Travel will principally be within the South Florida area, with only occasional travel to other locations. Ability to speak Spanish and/or Portuguese would be helpful.
