Corporate Counsel

Little Rock AR Corporate Counsel The candidate will implement continuing program of legal services, including legal and strategic advice and counsel, for designated MBOs. Provide direct legal support services to designated MBOs, including preparation, review, and revision of physician, hospital, and vendor contracts, MBO-specific policies, and other MBO documents with legal implications. Provide legal advice and counsel to MBO management, MBO medical staff leadership, MBO boards, and CHI national staff with respect to corporate, operational, and physician-related matters. Evaluate and furnish legal strategic advice and participate in strategic development of designated MBOs through attendance at appropriate board and management meetings. Manage and evaluate outside legal counsel serving designated MBOs on matters referred to such outside counsel. Participate, as appropriate, in Resource Groups, Task Forces, and/or Solution Teams. Perform other duties as assigned by managing attorney or other CHI LSG senior team members. Should have J.D. or L.L.B. degree awarded by an ABA accredited law school. Should have license to practice in one or more states. Must have 5+ years of experience as legal counsel in the healthcare industry relating to clinical legal issues either in private legal practice or as an in-house counsel to a hospital health system. Springdale AR Corporate Counsel - Employment The candidate will be responsible for managing litigation in a variety of legal matters that affect the company and advising in-house business clients on matters that relate to a variety of business areas. Candidates should be familiar with standard legal concepts, practices, and procedures applicable to civil, administrative and criminal cases and be able to develop and implement plans to effectively manage all phases of litigation from motion practice to discovery (including electronic discovery), expert testimony and trial. Law degree from an accredited law school, and a license to practice law in at least one jurisdiction is needed. Should have 4+ years of legal experience required. Candidate must have experience in a variety of civil litigation, including employment practices litigation, EEO, employment discrimination claims, labor practices, and covenants not to compete. Arkansas - Associate General Counsel - Merchandising Marketing and Supply Chain

Bentonville AR Associate General Counsel - Merchandising Marketing and Supply Chain
The candidate will handle transportation and distribution areas of the merchandising, marketing and supply chain section of company's legal division. Will be the primary legal contact for the transportation division of company's US operations, providing legal counsel on regulatory, contracts, claims management and general business projects. Daily work will include: general contract work, negotiation of complex commercial transactions, legal counsel on matters ranging from regulatory compliance to corporate governance, policy and procedure review, and other matters impacting day to day operations.

The candidate should have a J.D. degree from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials. Should be licensed to practice law in good standing in at least one state. Must have 9+ years of experience in a corporate legal department, law firm or governmental agency. Should have experience in the areas of transportation and retail distribution, including familiarity with the Carmack regulatory regime, the regulation of private and commercial motor vehicles, compliance with transportation safety standards, oversight of commercial freight shipment activity and contracts of carriage. Experience with the following agencies is a plus: FMCSA, PHMSA, STB, EPA, ATF and FDA. Should preferably have 1 year of supervisory experience.
